Courses Available
Symphonic Wind Band Course
August 3rd - 7th 2026
The Symphonic Wind Band Course is open to all players from Grade 5 or equivalent standard to advanced. This is at the discretion of the Course Director.
A wide repertoire of music will be carefully selected to ensure that a variety of tastes are catered for. As well as working with our experienced regular conductors, the Symphonic Wind Band will also be directed by our Conducting Course Director, Duncan Stubbs.
Players will also have the opportunity to play in smaller groups with our coaching staff.
Intermediate Wind Band Course
August 3rd - 7th 2026
The Intermediate Wind Band Course is open to all players from Grade 3 or equivalent standard to Grade 5.
A wide repertoire of music will be carefully selected to ensure that a variety of tastes are catered for, and our experienced conductors will support individuals to develop their musical ensemble skills.
Players will also have the opportunity to play in smaller groups with our coaching staff.
Daily Visitors (Either Band Course)
August 3rd - 7th 2026
Daily Visitors are welcome for either of our Bands if you are unable to join us for the full course.
If you would like to join us for the final End of Course Concert you would be expected to attend 3 days including Friday to be part of this Concert.
Conducting Course
August 3rd - 7th 2026
A course in conducting the wind band, providing both an in-depth introduction to the art of conducting and extensive guidance for experienced conductors who want to improve.
Opportunities will include:
Podium time with one of the bands and a small ensemble. Observation of Course Director, Duncan Stubbs rehearsing with the bands, and a variety of playing opportunities.
